Part-Time Remote • Extensive Weekend Travel During Season • Michigan-Based Preferred
We’re looking for someone highly organized, adaptable, and proactive to support the President of Alinea Dance Competition in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
This role is about far more than completing tasks. We’re looking for someone who anticipates needs before they’re asked, communicates clearly, thrives under pressure, and genuinely enjoys helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. Someone dependable, grounded, fun to be around, and comfortable balancing professionalism with personality.
This is a part-time remote role to start, with a flexible schedule. As Alinea continues to grow, this role has strong potential to evolve into a long-term full-time position with increased responsibility and extensive travel opportunities throughout the season.
A background in the dance industry is strongly preferred, especially for someone who understands the rhythm of competition life and the importance of professionalism, adaptability, and discretion.
The right person is someone who values teamwork, believes the little things matter, and wants to be part of building something meaningful alongside a team that genuinely cares about what they do.

Seasonal Tour Position • Nationwide Travel • Weekend Availability
Can you walk into a room full of 300 dancers and instantly bring the energy?
Alinea Dance Competition is looking for energetic, outgoing personalities to join our Hype Crew for the 2027 tour season.
This isn’t a traditional social media position.
It’s part content creator, part entertainer, and part brand ambassador.
We’re looking for the people who naturally start the dance circle. The people who aren’t afraid to grab a microphone, jump into a TikTok trend, celebrate a first-time competitor, or turn an ordinary moment into something memorable.
As a member of the Hype Crew, you’ll help create the atmosphere that defines the Alinea experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome dancers and studios as they arrive.
- Create and capture short-form social media content.
- Lead dance circles, challenges, interviews, and interactive activities.
- Celebrate birthdays, graduating seniors, first-time competitors, and other special moments.
- Build excitement during awards ceremonies.
- Collaborate with the content team throughout the event weekend.
- Help maintain hospitality areas for studio directors and teachers.
- Assist with event setup, load-in, and load-out.
What We’re Looking For
- Former competitive dancers who understand the competition environment.
- Outgoing, approachable personalities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort on camera and in front of large groups.
- Knowledge of current TikTok and Instagram trends.
- Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to think on the fly.
- The ability to sustain a positive attitude and high energy throughout long event days.
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Travel Requirements
This seasonal tour staff position is ideal for college students, dance teachers, performers, and other creatives with flexible schedules.
Because the Hype Crew plays such an important role in the event experience, we’re looking for team members who are excited to travel and become a consistent part of the 2027 tour.
Applicants should be available for regular weekend travel throughout the 2027 season. Most events will require travel between Thursday and Monday morning, although schedules may vary. Team members must be available for at least two event weekends each month, and additional availability is highly valued.

Video #2: Show Us Your Hype
Create a 45-60 second video in which you lead a small group through an activity of your choice. Your goal is simple: get people engaged, have fun, and encourage participation.
Your activity might include:
- Teaching a TikTok trend.
- Starting a dance circle.
- Leading a challenge or game.
- Conducting a quick interview.
- Creating your own interactive activity.
The videos should be filmed and edited by you.
We’re not evaluating your follower count or expecting professional-level production. We’re looking for creativity, personality, shooting and editing ability, on-camera presence, and, most importantly, your ability to create energy and connect with people.
We’re not just hiring a seasonal event team. We’re building a group of personalities who will help define the culture, energy, and experience of Alinea during Season One.
